My First Vlog, Podcast Episode, & More!
Here's what I've been doing in the past couple of weeks since I hadn't wrote any newsletter. Check it out.
Hi, Readers and Writers! Mecyll here. :)
What’s up?
After spending most of my time writing the novel (“Dr. Clay”) and a nonfiction book (“Non-Native Speakers Only”), I didn’t want to do anything big.
Well, that was the plan. My goal was to give myself permission to step out, reflect, and think of my next move—the best medicine for intuitive writers.
With all the real problems and issues wandering inside my head, like figuring out where my husband and I could move out, what I could do to help him financially through the skills I’m great at, etc., I reached the point where all I wanted was to give myself A GOOD DAMN SLEEP! :)
Consequently, I hadn’t written any newsletters and hadn’t updated my website content. It had been too much for me lately (actually, since I self-published “The Rival” in 2022), and I needed to recharge. I thought I deserved it, knowing I might pay the price later on (i.e., anxiety, panic, etc.).
Call it burnout, if you will.
With these said, I just wanted to tell you through a brief email about what has been happening in my life, including the following additional things:
Podcast
Though I built the “Writer Warriors Podcast” in 2020, I wasn’t into it at that time. But now, I’m finally on track with recording my podcast episodes. Check it out here.
YouTube channel
Similarly, I also started my YouTube channel in 2018, but I took it for granted because I was too focused on making money from writing.
As a result, perfectionism came through. After a long, long wait, I finally got more confident with filming for my YouTube channel. Check it out here.
While at it, I’d like to inform you that I may announce upcoming new updates via email. Let me know if it’s something you look forward to.
“Dr. Clay: Cult of Eros #1”
I’ll send out a separate newsletter for this, so I can discuss how I wrote the novel and the story of how I finished writing it in 6 months in detail. For today, don’t fret. I’ll still send the remaining chapters of my novel until it finishes.
Final thoughts
Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter, and I hope you’re enjoying the content I’ve been providing you. Though this email is quite short compared to those I usually send you, I hope it’s enough to keep you updated with the latest ongoing of my life.
If you want to share your thoughts, let me know in your reply, or if you’re using the Substack app, leave a comment in the comment section below the post.
Have a great day and happy writing! :)
